All though, Sipapu Ski area isn’t along the Enchanted Highway, it is the state’s
fastest growing resort with the longest ski season.
Conveniently located on Highway 518, Sipapu is just 20 scenic miles southeast of Taos.

Taos Ski Valley– Adventure seekers can take NM150 to the of the road, where the Village of Taos Ski Valley offers an ideal home base for Rocky Mountain activities- all under the shadow of Wheeler Peak, the highest elevation point in the state. Legendary among expert skiers but has plenty to offer beginners and intermediates as well.
Red River– A stroll down main street reveals shops, restaurants and motels from a seemingly bygone era. The tiny hamlet –at an elvation of 8,750 feet- offers bright blue skies and plenty of access to the great outdoors. Visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and more.The ski area has 64 trails, 7 lifts and more than 200 skiable acres.
