An Event to Put on Your Bucket List!

One of the things on my bucket list was to ride in a hot air balloon. And I was finally able to do that a few years ago. You have to get up very early in the morning to meet the crew that takes you up. I chose Rainbow Ryders. It was an awesome experience, something I will always treasure mainly because my sweetie, Aaron, who has now passed, gave it to me as a gift.

The ABQ Hot Air Balloon Festival is usually around the first week in October. However, If you missed that one, there is another one at the end of the month in Taos, New Mexico.
Taos Balloon Fiesta
One year, a girlfriend and I ventured over to Taos, New Mexico to check out the Annual Taos Mountain Balloon Rally.
Every year on the last full weekend of October several dozens hot air balloons fill the skies for the Taos Mountain Balloon Rally, only adding more color to the already vibrant Taos autumn.
Usually, Taos has perfect perfect flying conditions that attract balloonists from all over the country.
Unfortunately that morning, a mass ascension wasn’t possible because of certain weather conditions.
The breezes can be fickle and on that Saturday, the hot air balloon pilots decided to move further south. They slowly trickled into town one by one. Therefore, I have yet to see a mass ascension of hot air balloons. Maybe next time.
However, that evening we received a pleasant surprise starting with the after glow.
Balloon After Glow and Visiting Orbs!
Do you believe in Orbs and how they just might be visiting angels?
Turns out the highlight of this event was the night before with the Hot Air Balloon Glow. At dusk, the pilots start opening up their balloons and played games with the propane. Soon afterwards, other visitors showed up.
If you are familiar with orbs, check out these pictures and tell me what you think. I managed to capture many of them on my camera. At first, thinking it was raining. These little entities came to watch the spectacular balloon glow show too! For those who are interested in learning more about orbs visit, Orbs Among Us.
What’s really interesting is these pictures were taken with my camera and my girlfriends pictures from her camera didn’t capture any orbs.
For more fun in Taos- check out the Taos Calendar of events.

I’ve been up in a balloon. It’s a great experience to partake in – once or twice. I find these orbs interesting.
I just got the book, Orbs and Their Mission and Message of Hope. So, look forward to more info on this topic.
